A large percentage of TLC products are used in military systems such as missile guidance, gyros, aircraft engine generators, flight control, radar and communication equipment. For this reason the Company quality control system is designed to conform to MIL I-45208A as well as to other applicable customer QC requirements. The Company requires that all products be processed under these same QC procedures, whether military or commercial, thus ensuring that all parts are subjected to the same critical inspection scrutiny which has contributed to TLC's reputation for military quality, no matter what the product end use.

TLC can provide stacks of any size (diameter or height) as prototypes, short run lots or large quantity production. In addition to bonding, stacks can be welded or riveted. The toolroom supports this department by designing and building all stacking fixtures and special tooling required to meet customer specifications including unique skew angles.

Further complementing the assembly facility and contributing toward supplying a finished product, the grinding department has been equipped with machines capable of ether centerless or cylindrical grinding in order to provide the best choice of process for a particular part. ID and OD tolerances can be guaranteed to +/- .0001" and OD to ID concentrically can be held to .0001" even on delicate, "flexible" stacks with thin wall sections. Concentricity and roundness can be verified on a Pneumo-Centric circular geometric gage with resolution of 10 millionths of an inch. Grinding machinery wheels, coolants and procedures have been optimized to produce finished stacks with a minimum of grinding smear in order to ensure the best magnetic properties of the assembly and, consequently, of the customer's end product.
