| Thomson Lamination Company (TLC) was established in 1964 by the late John B. Thomson, Jr. to produce laminations for electric motor manufacturers whose products were used in guidance and control, aerospace, medical equipment, process control and other industries requiring precision motor performance. |

Because of the critical nature of the laminations used by this segment of the motor industry, an unusually high level of engineering liaison and personal customer service is required to service these customers, characteristics which seemed to be lacking in the then existing lamination suppliers. Mr. Thomson, therefore, formed TLC to provide both the quality products and customer service, which have been the hallmarks of the Company from day one. This tradition of personal customer service established by Jack Thomson more than 35 years ago has been maintained meticulously to this day. |
| After Jack Thomson's death some years ago, the Thomson Family control of the Company passed to Sterling A. Martin who had worked with Mr. Thomson prior to the formation of TLC and has been active in manufacturing, engineering and customer service capacities since the founding of TLC. The Company continues to operate with the same management philosophy and policies which had made Jack Thomson and TLC synonymous with customer service and product reliability. | ![]() |

Still located at its original site within a modern industrial park in Maple Shade, New Jersey, convenient to both Philadelphia Airport and the New Jersey Turnpike, the Company has expanded its facilities and capabilities over the years to keep pace with increasing customer requirements for both critical dimensional control and electrical characteristics. To control all elements relating to product integrity, TLC designs, fabricates and assembles all production tooling in-house. Production control and scheduling are accomplished with a sophisticated computer system which monitors all customer orders from the purchasing of steel to the shipment of the finished product. TLC's reputation for personal customer service is thus further enhanced by its history of compliance with committed delivery schedules, whether for extended high volume or short run orders. |
| As more customers prefer to purchase their laminations assembled into stator or rotor stacks to assemble into motors, rather than as loose laminations, the Company's assembly facilities have expanded dramatically in recent years to accommodate these requirements.
