Thomson Lamination Company was recently honored with the Business Partner of the Year Award from Pennsauken High School after our collaboration with them in the the U.S. Navy Talent Pipeline Program.
The U.S. Navy Talent Pipeline Program (TPP) is a national program that helps defense and maritime manufacturers recruit, train, and retain skilled workers.
Working with Jeff Ford, the Work Base Learning Coordinator at Pennsauken High School, we invited a select group of local high school students to our facility in Maple Shade, New Jersey to learn more about the defense manufacturing industry. We worked with these students to teach them specific technical skills and eventually offered them positions within our company.
We’ve now welcomed four of these students to Thomson Lamination Company, working in both the press room and grinding department. It was a pleasure to collaborate with our community and find talent from the next generation to join the manufacturing industry!
